Thang's French Coffee & Bubble Tea Reviews

Cash only! A regular smoothie boba will run you $7.50. Their menu prices are consistently changing! Not entirely sure the price matches the product, but it was good boba. They use fresh fruit to make their smoothies, and it's not icy either which is absolutely amazing! You can taste the fruit flavor. The boba is not too sweet and chewy. Be prepared to wait a bit as they make each order individually and there usually is a line out the door. Lots of parking!

Boba 4/5: It was good but not great. The flavor of papaya needs more of it and the boba quality is ok, it wasn't sweet. Service 4/5 : staff aren't rude but not friendly either. Ambiance 4/5 : gets busy and cash only. Hoping that this review will help with improvement

I ordered a mango smoothie and it was so refreshing! The gal who took my order was friendly and the service was quick. There is seating indoors which is nice to sit and enjoy your drink. The menu has a variety of smoothies and there is Vietnamese coffee if you're in the mood for coffee. The fruits used for the smoothie are fresh. They accept cash only but there is an ATM machine in their shop.

This was a first stop after arriving to get some coffee. We're all the locals go. The line was so long and there were so many people waiting. It took a while to get the coffee order, but it was worth it. Their drinks are not too expensive and comes in a very large cup. Vietnamese coffee was delicious and it had a Hawaiian taste, but not sure what it was. Now I know where to come to for some good Vietnamese coffee.

So yummy and fresh! Very affordable prices and natural flavors! They use real fruit here but also have powder options. Staff is nice and fast with orders. Wait is no more than 5 mins for 1-2 drinks (of course depending on how many drinks you order). Mango is our go to drink! And it's just $5.50. I believe they do add sugar or some kind of sweetener to the drinks, but nothing too crazy.

We come here at least once a week. Drinks always are on point. Love that we can customize it. My favorite go to right now is [Mango Coconut - No Boba - 25% Sweet]. Sista up front is always friendly. Shop is always clean and has a sweet smell of brown sugar boba. PRO TIP: Call in your order if you know what you want.

Fresh smoothie place in Hawaii! The Avocado Smoothie not overly sweet and you could tell they used real avocados. The texture was thick and creamy almost like a milkshake. For the Strawberry Smoothie, it melted pretty quick so it became more of a watery texture then a smoothie. You could taste bits of strawberries and the drink tastes exactly like what you would expect. Btw, you can choose to remove the boba but it comes with the drink with no additional charge. Cash only for this place.

Can't go wrong with fresh fruit smoothies!!! these were so good and refreshing, especially with the hot and humid weather here. 'Durian Smoothie': When I saw this on the menu, I immediately knew I had to get it! the durian flavor was strong, which I lovee and it was creamy and just perfect!! 'Peach Smoothie': I feel like peach itself is subtle in flavor, so this drink also had a subtle peach flavor. but, it was not too sweet and still really refreshing. Each smoothie ranges from $6-8 and pearls/boba is included! keep in mind that this place is cash only! located in a strip mall/plaza area, there's plenty of parking in and around the area too.

Inside the City Square Shopping Center on 1199 Dillingham Boulevard, it's been one of those stores that I've taken notice of but never visited...until the last couple of weeks. Thang's French Coffee and Bubble Tea is situated on the Kalani Street side of City Square SC; next to Sumo Ramen, if I recall correctly, or Sugoi Bento...one of those establishments. They specialize in fruit smoothies with boba, those tapioca pearls that sit on the bottom of milk teas. Boba or bubble tea isn't necessarily something I seek out but I do enjoy fruit smoothies. On my initial visit, I received a great Watermelon Smoothie with Boba for takeaway. Sweet but not cloyingly so...it was very refreshing. It was a deal at $6 but be prepared as they only take cash for payment. Second visit, I went with the Strawberry / Taro Smoothie with Boba; Thang's offers combination options for $7 and this was advertised as one of their favorites on signage. It was disappointing as it was medicore. I think the taro threw it off. They use fresh fruits and they blend their ice into a fine shave. Today, I tried their Vietnamese Coffee Smoothie...quite good. Condensed milk and strong coffee is an excellent combination. I want to try more flavors but I think the watermelon will be my favorite.

We were thwarted in our attempt to have lunch at Chef Ramen (hand written note on door saying they were closed til Monday) and getting poi donuts at Kamehameha Bakery (ran out just three customers before us, should have called to reserve in advance!). So we consoled ourselves with trying the bubble tea at Thang's as there was a healthy line of people waiting which we figured was a good sign. I suspect we would have given Thang's a 5 star if they had gotten our order right or perhaps we didn't order clearly enough: - taro bubble milk tea - is what we wanted to order but received a taro smoothie with boba instead, which was very good 4/5 - mango smoothie - 4/5, refreshing, not too sweet but then I had a mango smoothie later from Lemon Supply at Ward Village and definitely enjoyed that one more as it contained soy milk which made it more smoothie like, whereas this one was more like a mango icee
